YEAR 6 TRANSITION
A smooth transition from primary to secondary school is important in terms of preparing students for learning at Kingsmeadow. While moving to secondary school is exciting, it is also a change and it is natural that students and parents can feel anxious about the process. At Kingsmeadow we aim to make the transfer from primary to secondary school as easy and informative as possible. This page contains some useful information for parents and students regarding the transition process.
If your child is starting secondary school with us in September, it is important that we have accurate contact details for you. If you have any queries about transition, you can contact us HERE.
This year, due to the ongoing situation with Coronavirus (Covid 19) we are asking parents to provide this information to us via an online form which will be emailed to each parent individually.
WELCOME FROM THE HEADTEACHER
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to Kingsmeadow School. This is a great school that is making strides in all areas. Our results over the last few years have seen a steady climb, placing us amongst the top non-selective schools in Gateshead. I am very proud to be the leader of such a successful school. The experience your child will receive will be second to none, supported by a strong pastoral team and challenged to learn by a focused group of teaching staff.
I am sure that over the course of your child’s time with us they will achieve all those goals and milestones that will ensure they have the best possible platform to go on and succeed in their future choices.
We value your support and input and hope that you will maintain your contact with the school throughout your child’s time with us.
Please do not hesitate to get in contact with myself or any of the teams within school if you have any further questions.
