EXAMS AND PERFORMANCE

2023 Summer Outcomes

At KS5 students have all successfully achieved their first choice UCAS places, if that was their aim.  Almost one third of all grades achieved were at least an A and two thirds achieved a B or higher, with notable successes in Business, Psychology and Sociology.

Notable successes in Yr 13 include Skye Forster who achieved a superb set of A Level outcomes achieving AAA and is planning to go on to study Dentistry. Joe Wright and Shea Mcguinness, who were supported by the SEN team, both did brilliantly in their BTec and A Levels achieving L3D*DB and L3D*DC, respectively, and are both off to Northumbria to study Psychology.

At GCSE, English, Maths and Science have performed well with Science continuing its upward trajectory in outcomes.  Once again Spanish have out performed comparative data from last year, which given the challenges of the last few years, is really marked.  91% of the cohort were entered for the EBacc, with 27% achieving the qualification, that's above last year's outcomes and is above the national average.

Notable successes in Yr 11 include Gracie Lauder, who achieved 10 strong passes, which included four Grade 9s.  That is superb.

We are incredibly proud of what all our students and staff have achieved.  They have shown real determination and resilience.  Staff have worked hard to minimise the impact of the last years and have ensured students have strong foundations to take those next steps with confidence.

I would like to thank both our outgoing Year 11 and Year 13 for all that they have contributed to Kingsmeadow School in their time with us.  I hope both will look back on their time with staff and peers fondly.  I know they will go on and succeed, and I look forward to hearing of their future successes in the years to come.
