Our Student Leadership Team
Sixth Form students Jayden, Lewis, Ryan and Udita.
Our Student Leaders’ goal is to build upon the school’s work to make it a positive environment and learn and flourish. They work with the senior team to uphold the school’s values of integrity, resilience and respect, and support work to further prioritise extracurricular rewards and recognition.
They do this by hosting lunch time meetings for students to drop-in, share their views or to ask questions. They also encourage students to provide anonymous suggestions and positive thoughts and feedback.
I became a member of the student leadership team to be part of important work to help our students’ voices be heard, and to help deliver a smooth transition into sixth form.
My aspirations are to go on to Newcastle University in hopes of becoming a history teacher where I can be part of helping others in years to come to achieve their dreams.
Jayden – Year 13, Student Leader
I wanted to be a Student Leader so I could give back to the school by supporting the younger students. I also want to help make sixth form the best it can be for future year groups.
In the future, I hope to study maths at university and go on to achieve a doctorate by contributing to mathematical research.
Lewis – Year 13, Student Leader
I want to be part of important work to develop the school’s environment and joining the student leadership team is allowing me to be involved in that process.
Being a Student Leader also allows me to work on my own skills as a young person, and it is a great opportunity to sit back, reflect and work on myself and my aspirations.
Ryan – Year 13, Student Leader
I became a Student Leader because I enjoy working with others, and I believe I can help create a positive and supportive environment where everyone feels included.
Being a student leader gives me the opportunity to build my skills, represent my peers, and make a difference.
My aspiration is to become a lawyer so I can stand up for others, promote fairness, and make a positive impact.
