Kingsmeadow is proud to serve its community and offers its high-quality spaces to local clubs and groups at an affordable rate of hire.
Conveniently located two minutes from the A1, we offer high-quality sports facilities set in beautifully tendered grounds.
Our facilities are available during term time and school holidays, with the exception of some periods throughout the year when our students take their exams and key assessments.

Multi-use games area (MUGA)
Our floodlit MUGA is a versatile outdoor sports facility designed to accommodate a variety of activities, making it the perfect facility to hire in the Gateshead area. The MUGA is the equivalent size of three full size tennis / netball courts and is set within an enclosed metal safety fence.
Astroturf pitch
Our floodlit, FA-approved Astro pitch is the equivalent in size to one full size adult pitch or three x 7 a-side pitches.
It is an excellent outdoor space, suitable for a wide range of grass based sports, and set within an enclosed metal safety fence.
Sports Hall
Our modern Sports Hall can accommodate four full size Badminton courts, and is marked out for a wide range of sporting activities including basketball, volleyball, netball, acrobatics/gymnastics, football, tennis, trampolining, martial arts, health and fitness classes and table tennis.
Grass pitch and Track and Field area
Our grass pitch area can accommodate 11-a-side, 9 a side, 7-a-side games and 5-a- side games.
Our Track and Field area offers an eight-lane 400m athletics track, an eight-lane 100m track and space for a full-range of field events.
Parking
There is ample free parking onsite.
Changing and shower facilities
These are included in the hire fee. Both male and female changing rooms have toilets and accessible shower facilities.
Apply to hire our premises
Applications to use our premises need to be made to the School Business Manager.
We can receive initial enquiries by telephone, in person or by email, however bookings must be completed; and will only be confirmed, by the using the approved application form.
