The aims of relationship, sex and health education (RSHE) at our school are to:

Provide a framework in which sensitive discussions can take place
Prepare students for puberty, and give them an understanding of sexual development and the importance of health and hygiene
Help students develop feelings of self-respect, confidence and empathy
Create a positive culture around issues of sexuality and relationships
Teach students the correct vocabulary to describe themselves and their bodies

We are consulting with our parents, carers and other important stakeholders on our RSHE policy, and are asking them to give their views.

The consultation is open from the 16 February until the 22 May 2026. If you would like to share your views on this policy, please email enquiries@kingmeadow.org.uk by the 22 May 2026.
