Our students are celebrating today after achieving the best set of GCSE and vocational examination results ever recorded at the school.

The outstanding results follow the record-breaking achievements of our Sixth Form students last week, making this the most successful year for students in the history of Kingsmeadow Community School.

Building on last year’s record results, an additional 5% of students achieved grades 4 and 5 or above in both GCSE English and mathematics. There has also been significant improvement at the very highest levels, with 19% of all GCSE grades awarded at grades 7–9.

Most importantly, these results represent real opportunities for our students. With an average grade of over 4.5, the vast majority have achieved the qualifications they need to progress onto higher-level courses, further qualifications, apprenticeships and employment.

These achievements are a testament to the hard work, determination and resilience shown by students throughout their time at Kingsmeadow. They have worked incredibly hard, supported by dedicated staff and their families, and today is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their success.

“Seeing how hard our students have worked for the last two years, I am not surprised that they have achieved so highly. They deserve this success. I am proud of them and of the staff who have supported them.

“We will be welcoming many of these students back to our highly successful Sixth Form in September and, whether they are staying with us or moving on, I wish every one of them the very best and continued success in the future.”

The school is incredibly proud of every student receiving their results today. Their achievements are a fantastic reflection of their commitment and determination, and we look forward to seeing all that they go on to accomplish.
