We are proud to announce that Kingsmeadow Community School has been recognised with a National Award from the Fischer Family Trust (FFT) for being one of the most improved secondary schools in England for student attendance.
This is excellent news and a testimony to the work that we are doing jointly with parents, carers and students in order to make the school a safe and purposeful environment where children want to come and to learn. Good attendance is a real indicator of how inclusive a school is. It is also the single biggest impact on making sure that children are successful academically and achieve well.
Good attendance is not achieved by the work of the school alone: we rely on the support of parents and carers in getting their children into school; we also rely on the resilience of our students in trying their very best to be in school and learning even when things get tough. As the FFT say: ‘We’re pleased to let you know that your school has won an FFT National Attendance Award. Congratulations to your staff, pupils, parents and carers – good attendance takes work from everyone, and this award recognises it.’
This an award for the whole community of Kingsmeadow Community School. Well done and thank you for your ongoing support.
