Year 11 is an incredibly important year for our students. As they work towards their summer GCSE and vocational examinations, the effort, commitment and preparation they put in now will make a significant difference to their confidence and outcomes.
At Kingsmeadow, we are committed to providing our Year 11 students with as much support as possible, and that is why, in a special event today we focused and celebrated on their latest mock exam results and highlighted the importance of taking up the opportunities and resources that the school is putting in place to ensure their future exam success.
Greeted first by a red-carpet welcome into our main hall, our students enjoyed Dominos’ pizza, sweet treats and soft drinks while they heard how our RAS sessions and extra learning opportunities during the Period 6 lessons form an important part of our wider approach to supporting students in achieving their potential as they revisit learning, address areas where they may need additional help and receive guidance from their teachers.
The upcoming Year 11 motivation evening for students and their parents and carers on Thursday 10 September will also help our students to understand that success comes from preparation, perseverance and making the most of every opportunity to improve. Our investment in providing bespoke revision materials for each student will also put Year 11 on the right path to achieving their goals, as well as taking the pressure off parents – both financially and practically.
We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students and we will continue to support them every step of the way. By working together – students, staff and families, we can ensure that our young people approach their summer examinations feeling prepared, confident and ready to achieve their very best.
