Our Year 10 students enjoyed two days of learning about the world of work with our Careers Team this July at Northumbrian Water’s Young Citizen’s work experience festival.

The two days were jam packed with activities and opportunities to be inspired, get hands on, and expand their career knowledge.

There were two amazing speakers too. George Clarke, architect, television presenter, lecturer and writer, best known for his work on the Channel 4 programmes shared his story, as did Priya Lakhani OBE, the founder CEO of Century Tech, an artificial intelligence education technology company that develops AI-powered learning tools.

Activities during the two days included, the Junk Man using recycled items to play in a band, Rullion – a mini Dragons Den experience, a digital safety session, and a skills workshop to develop a growth mind set and communication skills. There were construction based activities too.
