Currently we use IPay Impact as our catering software which enables parents to make online payments and check the transaction history on your child’s school meal account. From September, we will no longer be using IPay Impact, and instead, we have streamlined our processes to make MCAS the one stop shop for parents. This will make communicating with school, updating details, providing consent and paying for items simpler and more accessible for all.
My Child At School (MCAS) is an online portal providing access to information from school via a web browser as well as a free app (for android or ios) which can be enabled with Push Notifications to ensure you receive timely information from school.
On MCAS, you can already:
· Check and update the details that our school holds for you and your child
· View and update details of any medical conditions that our school has on record
· View the student timetable
· Monitor attendance
· View student engagement regarding positive and negative behaviour events
· View assessment reports
· Find useful school details such as telephone numbers, term dates
New features from September will allow you to:
- Make payments for revision guides, school clubs, school lunches and educational visits. All cash balances on IPay Impact at the end of term, will transfer straight across to MCAS automatically, so there is no need for you to action anything in relation to this.
- View school lunch transactions
- Confirm places on school trips
- Give consent for school activities, removing the need for paper copies of consent forms.
When the payments and consent part of MCAS becomes live on our existing system over the summer holiday period, we will contact you again to let you know and issue you with a series of FAQ’s and user guides to get you up and running.
If you have not yet signed up to MCAS, it is important to do so by 2 September 2024 to ensure that you are kept up to date with all information and that your child has access to the school meals service.
