On Tuesday 17th October, Year 12 Business students were visited by former Kingsmeadow student Bethany Lawson. Bethany, the owner of local coffee enterprise ‘Betty’s Brews’ spoke to the students about being self employed and discussed the challenges but also the pride rewards that she has in running her own business.
The students heard about how Bethany self funded the business while at university, studying to qualify as a mental health nurse and the future aims and objectives that she has for the business. Students were then able to hold a Q&A session, getting a real insight into life as a small business owner.
It is always a pleasure to invite alumni students back into the school and the students even managed to get a free hot drink as a reward for their great start to Business Studies in Sixth Form.
