Today, our leaving Year 13 students at Kingsmeadow Community School opened the best set of Key Stage 5 results ever achieved by the school – a remarkable achievement that reflects their hard work, determination and commitment throughout their sixth form journey.
Building on last year’s outcomes, our students have achieved results above the National Average, giving them a wide range of exciting opportunities for their next steps in education and employment.
Most importantly, every single student has achieved the grades needed to secure a place at one of their university choices. This is an exceptional achievement and one that our students should be incredibly proud of.
There are some fantastic headlines from this year’s results:
- The average A-Level grade was a B.
- Students achieved a positive Value Added score in both A-Levels and Applied Courses.
- English A-Level achieved an average grade of A.
- Students in Chemistry, Computer Science, English and Spanish achieved almost a full grade higher than expected on average.
These results demonstrate not only the academic ability of our students, but also the impact of their resilience, ambition and willingness to embrace the opportunities available to them at Kingsmeadow Community School Sixth Form.
Reflecting on the morning, Headteacher, Mr Barrett said:
“I have just spent a lovely morning with our leaving Year 13 students and their families. They have been opening a very positive set of sixth form results, which sees every one of them being able to go to one of their universities of choice. This is well deserved, as they have worked hard and embraced the opportunities that Kingsmeadow Community School Sixth Form offers them. I am proud of them all.”
We would like to extend our huge congratulations to every member of our Year 13 cohort. Their success is thoroughly deserved, and we are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved.
We would also like to thank their families, teachers and everyone who has supported them throughout their sixth form journey. Today is a celebration of what can be achieved through hard work, determination and ambition.
Congratulations, Year 13 – your future is bright, and we cannot wait to see where your journey takes you!
