Our Student Leadership Team

Our Student Leaders’ goal is to build upon the school’s work to make it a positive environment to learn and flourish. They work with the senior team to uphold the school’s values of integrity, resilience and respect, and support work to further prioritise extracurricular rewards and recognition. They do this by hosting sessions for students to drop-in, share their views or to ask questions. They also encourage students to provide suggestions, positive ideas and feedback.
I became a member of the student leadership team to be part of important work to help our students’ voices be heard, and to help deliver a smooth transition into sixth form.
My aspirations are to go on to Newcastle University in hopes of becoming a history teacher where I can be part of helping others in years to come to achieve their dreams.
Jayden – Year 13
I wanted to be a Student Leader so I could give back to the school by supporting the younger students. I also want to help make sixth form the best it can be for future year groups.
In the future, I hope to study maths at university and go on to achieve a doctorate by contributing to mathematical research.
Lewis – Year 13
I want to be part of important work to develop the school’s environment and joining the student leadership team is allowing me to be involved in that process.
Being a Student Leader also allows me to work on my own skills as a young person, and it is a great opportunity to sit back, reflect and work on myself and my aspirations.
Ryan – Year 13
I became a Student Leader because I enjoy working with others, and I believe I can help create a positive and supportive environment where everyone feels included.
Being a student leader gives me the opportunity to build my skills, represent my peers, and make a difference.
My aspiration is to become a lawyer so I can stand up for others, promote fairness, and make a positive impact.
Udita – Year 13
I became a Student Leader so I could be part of a team that can further enhance opportunities for other students to have a smooth school experience, and to be there to talk to anyone who wanted to highlight any issues – an important part of Kingsmeadow’s Student Voice programme.
In the future I would like to study Politics and International Relations at Durham University, and hopefully become an important political figure who can make real, significant change for others.
Ewan – Year 12
I joined the Student Leadership team because I am constantly aiming to give back to the school and offer students the same support that I have been given over the last six years. I want to help younger students that have any concerns or worries during their academic journey, as I believe that being comfortable at school is such an important aspect to help one achieve well.
After sixth form, I hope to go the University of York to study Law as an undergraduate degree, and then do a postgraduate Bar course in order to become a Barrister.
Fearne – Year 12
I chose to become a student leader as I believe it’s worthwhile to allow other students the ability to be heard, and seen. I want to create an environment where people know their voices are important, and that a difference can be made possible. Becoming a Student Leader has allowed me to enhance my skills and work collectively with a team that has the same set of ideals.
My future aspirations are to complete a degree apprenticeship with Northumbria Police, and then a graduate programme in order to become a detective.
Teri – Year 12
I chose to be Head Student because I believe every student deserves to be heard and valued. Too often opinions go unspoken or unnoticed and I want to change that. I aim to support the school’s work that ensures everyone feels confident to express their ideas, knowing they will be listened to and taken seriously.
By encouraging open communication and representing all voices, I hope to help shape a stronger, more inclusive school community that reflects what students truly want and need.
Mark – Year 12
