YEAR 9 OPTIONS

Year 9 is an extremely important stage in our students’ education. It is now time to give consideration to GCSE and vocational courses, which will be studied in Year 10-11.

This page contains a wealth of information regarding the options process and the subjects which can be studied at KS4. Shown below is a short video presentation describing the content of each subject on offer.

Please take the time to consider all of the information provided here and ensure that you discuss the options process with parents/guardians before making your decisions.

Options forms will be emailed to all Year 9 students on Monday 13th February 2023.

The Year 9 Option Evening will take place on Thursday 9th February. Please arrive at 5.15 pm in order to register and pick up your options pack. 

 

The evening has been arranged to enable you to speak to staff from key subject areas that you are interested in following at KS4 and  you will be given the opportunity to visit up to six different subject areas. There is a brief explanation of the process published on the school website below. This video will also be available to view in the school hall on the evening should you wish to revisit it. 

 

This is an important evening, as it represents the formal part of you confirming final option selections. As part of your options pack you will receive an options booklet explaining the process in full with an overview of each option subject.
