Kingsmeadow School have been awarded the 2017/18 Gold Award by the National Citizen Service. This recognises our excellent working approach and participation with NCS.
National Citizen Service is the country’s fastest-growing youth movement. They exist to engage young people in activities which will help them to ‘succeed in new challenges, embrace new experiences and make your mark on the world.’
We received this award by working closely with local NCS Team Leader, Chris Byrne, in encouraging Kingsmeadow students to sign up to clubs, events and the popular summer residential and volunteering programme. Chris can be seen here presenting the Gold Award to our head of KS4 standards, Sonya Robson.
The excellent partnership continues. In the last week of November over 40 of our current year 11 students signed up for the 2019 summer programme. They will have an unforgettable experience which will make them ‘feel challenged and changed, engaged and empowered.’’
