Update on Keyworker and vulnerable student emergency childcare arrangements
Since Monday 30 March, Kingsmeadow School, Dunston Primary School and Beehive OSC have been working together to minimise the numbers of people that need to travel. Any child needing to be in emergency childcare as they have a parent who is a key worker or who is classed as vulnerable, has been catered for at Dunston Hill Primary School and or Beehive OSC.
For the period 26-29 May, half term, all students will be looked after at Beehive OSC , which is located in the Kingsmeadow Sixth Form building at the entrance to the school site off Market Lane. All settings will not be open on Bank Holiday Monday 25 May.
From 1 June, with the planned phased reopening of Primary and Early Years settings, any Kingsmeadow child needing to be in emergency childcare as they have a parent who is a key worker or are classed as vulnerable, will be catered for at the Kingsmeadow main site.
They will need to attend for 8:45am at the main reception, and the end of the day will remain 2:45pm. They will be given their own supervised working space and given access to the same resources that students from home are currently working through.
I would like to wish you well and I hope you and your family stay safe and well in these difficult times.
