Following recent announcements from the Government, families eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) will be issued with eVouchers to the value of £15 per child per week. These now have been back dated to include the holiday period.
Up until 17 April, Gateshead School Meals Service will continue to provide packed lunches for all children attending school. In addition, all eligible families will be issued with the appropriate FSM eVoucher.
From Monday 20 April, Gateshead School Meal service will no longer provide schools with packed lunches. The National FSM eVoucher Scheme will provide parents/carers with funding to buy food from the designated supermarkets. All children attending school, FSM or otherwise, should come to school with a packed lunch. Catering facilities will no longer be available within school during this period of school closure.
