Our annual awards evening took place on Thursday 5th December and was an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students, both past and present. The students who received awards did so for their outstanding effort and achievement in academic subjects and in wider school life.
Staff were on hand to present awards to the students and parents were in attendance supporting their children in what was a memorable and emotional evening.
Former Kingsmeadow student Scott Steele was invited as our keynote speaker and delivered some inspirational words of wisdom to our young people. Scott trained as a paralympic rower following a car accident in 2007 which left him paralysed from the waist down. Scott now works as an Astrobiologist and spoke fondly about his time at Kingsmeadow and the support and advice he received from his teachers.
Our Headteacher's Award this year went to Loraine Papong for all of her hard work and dedication throughout her time and Kingsmeadow and who continues to achieve in her Sixth Form studies her in school.
A huge thank you should be given to all of our award winners and their parents. We look forward to seeing who will be included in the rewards list next year.
