Year 7 applications
Applying online for admission to our school is quick and easy. Parents and carers need to make their application through the Gateshead Council Admission Team.
From 9 September 2024 Gateshead residents can apply for a place for their child and step by step information on how to do this is available on the Secondary school admissions September 2024 – Gateshead Council webpage.
The deadline for applications is 31 October 2024.
On-line applications – submit on the council’s website www.gateshead.gov.uk
Paper applications – return to The School Admissions Team, Floor 2, Civic Centre, Gateshead, NE8 1HH. To request a paper version of the application form, contact Gateshead Council by phone on 0191 433 2757.

In-year transfer of students
You can apply for an in-year transfer by using Gateshead Council’s online portal.
Once you have completed the application, please send it by email to admissions@kingsmeadow.org.uk.
