About the NPQML
The National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership is a continuous professional development programme which aims to develop leadership capacity in schools. Kingsmeadow Community School is pleased to offer the fully-accredited DfE NPQML, in partnership with SSAT. We are currently welcoming applications from teaching colleagues in our community to join the January - October 2020 leadership training cohort.
The NPQML is suitable for current and aspiring middle leaders across all phases, including subject leaders, key stage coordinators, pastoral leads and SENDCos. It supports participants in developing knowledge and skills across six content areas:
Teaching and curriculum excellence
Strategy and improvement
Leading with impact
Working in partnership
The NPQML offers a flexible, modular approach. Participants attend twelve sessions of face-to-face training, as well as carrying out intersessional self-guided study, engaging with online platforms and completing a workplace learning and improvement project. A written report is submitted for external assessment. at the end of the course.
Each training session will be delivered at Kingsmeadow Community School, on Thursdays, between 3.30pm and 5.30pm.
