Pastoral Department

Pastoral Team

The Pastoral Department is organised in Key Stages – KS3 and KS4.  Each Key Stage is managed by a Head of Key Stage, supported by Learning Co-ordinator for each year group, whose responsibility is to track student progress.  These members of staff have been selected to ensure a smooth transition between each Key Stage.  Their expertise will be used to support students in establishing appropriate learning habits to ensure they  have a successful time in school.

All students are assigned a tutor group on admission.  They remain with the same tutor throughout their time at Kingsmeadow.

There is an Assistant Headteacher with overall responsibility for the operation of the pastoral care policy.

Any queries or points of contact parents wish to make should be initially directed through the appropriate Head of Key Stage.  If parents/carers need to contact their son/daughter, during the course of the day they should contact the appropriate Key Stage base or the main office.

Students who need to contact their parents during the course of the day should go to their Key Stage Base.

All students are provided with a locker to store their personal possessions during the day. Lockers should be accessed outside of lesson time, that is first thing in the morning but before 8.40am, at break and at the beginning of lunch time.
