Behaviour Policy
Behaviour for Learning Policy
Our ‘Behaviour for Learning’ policy was devised in consultation with staff, students, governors, parents and primary school colleagues.
Behaviour for learning focuses on 5 principles which are regularly revisited during assemblies and tutorial periods.
- To Aspire
- To Care
- To Co-operate
- To Have Respect
- To have Pride
All students are expected to follow the A B C of the classroom:-
- Attendance
- Behaviour
- Commitment
Students who adhere to the 5 principles and ABC of the classroom are regularly awarded STARS which they collect and exchange for rewards at the end of each term.
If parents/carers need to contact their son/daughter, during the course of the day they should contact the appropriate Key Stage base or the main office.
Students who need to contact their parents during the course of the day should go to their Key Stage Base.
We have a breakfast club where students can enjoy a healthy breakfast which ensures that they are ready for the school day. At lunchtime all students remain onsite. After lunch they can enjoy film club, one of the organised PE activities or sit and chat with friends either in the dining hall, social area or the outside areas which are furnished with seating.
We have a fabulous new building which we would like to maintain at its current level for students of the future to enjoy. With this in mind we not allow food or drinks out of the dining hall. As a Healthy School we encourage students to have water there are a number of water coolers located around the school.
Chewing gum should not be brought in to school as it causes damage to clothes, furniture and equipment and is costly to remove.
