Steel Band
Our fantastic Steel Band were invited to take part in a prestigious event hosted by Rotary North East. The local Rotary Clubs staged a Youth musical Spectacular called Children Helping Children at Sunderland Empire on Saturday 16th January. Fourteen acts were invited to take part in this musical extravaganza which raised funds for charity.
Mrs Robinson and the band arrived at the theatre in the early afternoon. After being shown their dressing room the band, with the rest of the cast, were called together for a briefing from the Musical Director – Ernie Young. There followed a full dress rehearsal. The band opened both acts and delighted the audience with their performances of Canon, All Star and Hallelujah.
