We have just had a fantastic work experience week; 90% of our students had placements, 60% used their enterprise skills and showed great initiative by finding their own contact.

What our students found about the world of work

“Work experience was great. I did exactly what I was told, I helped wash up and prepare food. It was interesting to see how things are made from scratch. The work was different to what I had expected but I still enjoyed it and I am still interested in working in this industry (catering)”

I learnt how to weld and they said I was the best work experience student they had ever had as most of them just want to sit around and do nothing and I wanted to get involved. They have told me to complete an apprenticeship form for when I leave school and they would put me straight through.”
