Music
Kingsmeadow has a lively Music Department that offers a wide and varied range of opportunities for KS3 & KS4 both in and out of lessons from performances abroad to making music CD’s. The department also has an award winning Steel Band.
The department has
- a specialist classroom with 15 newly installed computers and music software
- an ensemble room dedicated to the 3 Steel Bands within Kingsmeadow
- two practice rooms
- Peripatetic Instrumental lessons (Brass/Drums/Guitar/Piano/Violin/Woodwind)
The department has 1 specialist full time music teacher with 6 visiting peripatetic teachers.
The music department also offers specialist primary sessions on a weekly basis to it’s primary cluster groups
